
Telecom Fiji officially launched its 5G network on 4 December 2025, marking a significant milestone for the company and a major step forward in strengthening Fiji’s digital future.
The national launch was officiated by the Minister for Policing and Communications, Hon. Ioane Naivalurua, at a ceremony held at the Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH), attended by key stakeholders and partners.

The initial 5G rollout will cover Suva, Nadi, Lautoka, Denarau, Navua, Nausori and Nasinu, with further expansion planned across additional locations in the coming phases.
Telecom Fiji’s 5G network will deliver faster speeds, lower latency and enhanced performance, supporting high-demand applications such as streaming, gaming, business operations and everyday connectivity for customers.

The 5G launch forms part of Telecom Fiji’s broader investment in national digital infrastructure, alongside major fibre upgrades including the Savusavu–Labasa fibre link, which continues to strengthen connectivity for communities across Vanua Levu.
