Telecom Fiji and Solomon Telekom have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen technical cooperation and support skills development in the telecommunications field.
Through this partnership, engineers and technical staff from Solomon Telekom will undergo specialized training at Telecom Fiji to build their knowledge and practical skills in key areas such as:
• Fiber network planning, design, and operation
• Internet and broadband systems
• Network optimization
Telecom Fiji will deliver hands-on training using its experience in optical fiber technology from network planning and setup to daily operations. Participants will learn about core infrastructure, network connections to homes and businesses, and how large-scale systems are monitored and managed.
The training will combine practical sessions, field visits, and technical workshops led by Telecom Fiji’s engineering and operations teams, giving Solomon Telekom staff real-world exposure and experience.
