Telecom Customers Will Not Pay Extra for Data

Telecom Fiji CEO Charles Goundar has assured all their customers that they will not pay a single cent of the 10 cents data levy which was introduced to assist rural areas with technological development.

“With the removal of the voice levy and the reduction in landing costs at FINTEL, Telecom is able to pay the 10 cents levy without pushing it onto our loyal customers,” said Goundar.

The Telecom CEO stressed that the company will always support development in rural and maritime areas. “We are a 100% Fijian owned company and have always helped development in rural areas, many times installing satellite technology for schools despite receiving little returns. This is because we believe in investing in Fijians,” Goundar said.

Telecom has been in operation since 1904 and is the largest ICT provider in the Pacific. Our loyal customers are the reason why we have been around for so long.

With our long term plans to increase our fibre footprint across Fiji and provide more essential internet services to thousands of Fijians, we are committed to providing the best services possible to Fijians.
